Trips Outings/Visits

Year 4 pupils enjoyed an inspiring visit to Westminster Abbey, combining History, English, Geometry and hands-on learning. The day began with an exploration of Geometry in the Chapter House, where pupils observed intricate shapes and patterns. Inspired by their surroundings, they then wrote reflective lines starting with “In the Abbey…” capturing what they saw, heard, and felt.

The trip continued with a fascinating workshop about the Abbey’s rich history, culminating in a lively re-enactment of a coronation ceremony with students joyfully proclaiming, “Long live the King!” Following this, the children toured the magnificent Abbey itself, marveling at its inspiring architecture. They had the unique experience of singing in the choir stalls and exploring memorials dedicated to many famous figures from history.

The visit provided Year 4 pupils with a memorable blend of learning and fun, bringing history to life within one of London’s most iconic landmarks.
