Last week, Latymer Prep School Year 6 students embarked on their highly anticipated annual Spain Trip, travelling to the vibrant coastal city of Alicante. The week was packed with an exciting blend of cultural activities, immersive language lessons, and lots of fun, making for an unforgettable experience.
Throughout their stay, students participated in Spanish lessons, refining their language skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Spanish culture. These lessons were brought to life as they explored the charming town of Águilas, where they visited Equipo Libertad Plada de España, soaking in the local culture and history. They also made the most of Alicante’s beaches, enjoying a variety of sports and activities including football, volleyball, and archery.
One of the trip’s highlights was the chance to experience the vibrant Carnavales festival, a Spanish tradition filled with colourful parades, music, and dancing.
The final day of the trip was action-packed, with students kayaking along the coastline before taking part in a salsa dance lesson. The week concluded with a lively farewell party, marking the end of an extraordinary adventure.
The Spain Trip was a huge success, and a massive thank you goes out to everyone involved.
