Last week Latymer Prep School Year 4 pupils embarked on an exciting educational trip to the Bank of England Museum in central London. During the trip, students delved into the rich history of the Bank and explored the fascinating world of money. They discovered how banknotes are designed and produced, and learned about the secure storage of the nation's gold reserves. One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to try lifting a real gold bar - which was extremely heavy! The visit offered a unique, hands-on insight into the workings of our financial system and its history, leaving the students both inspired and informed.
