Music

Two large choirs, a school orchestra and over 130 children learning one or more musical instruments in school testify to our pupils' commitment to music.  Experimentation is also feature of this subject area with children being encouraged to try relatively unusual instruments for this age-group.  The cello, trombone and French horn have all been taken up in recent years by groups of pupils who first became familiar with these instruments through the school's 'taster' courses which run for a term.  In addition, children are also introduced to music technology where they use computers and recording equipment to produce cd's of their work.

The school's Recital Hall and theatre provide outstanding venues in which the children perform on a regular basis throughout the year.
