Believing that children learn best within a happy
and secure environment where they feel valued
and respected, particular emphasis is placed upon
pastoral care at the Prep School. Each child has
a form tutor who has primary responsibility for
the social, emotional and academic welfare of
the individual child. The School also operates
a Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
programme designed to encourage confidence, reflection
and empathy in our pupils.
Discussion, education in social relations, self-respect
and concern for others lie at the heart of the
curriculum.

Additional support, if this is required, is available
through the School counsellor and the learning
support department.
We also operate a mentoring system where the
older children volunteer to look after children
new to the School.
Home and School
Close liaison with parents is a striking feature
of the School. The Parents' Gild, which includes
all parents in both the Prep and Latymer Upper
School, provides invaluable support to both schools
through fund-raising and advice and feed-back.
